Cheers For Change

We’ve teamed up with RiNo Art District and PocketChange to launch Cheers For Change — an interactive and impactful scavenger hunt to drive traffic and revenue to RiNo bars and restaurants during August and September while raising $10,000 for ArtPark Community Hub. We’re also sending one lucky winner home with $1,000 in gift cards to spend at RiNo businesses.

So, how the f**k does this work?

Start by downloading PocketChange, because you’re going to need it.

PocketChange is a social media platform where every like, post, and reply sends free money to charity at absolutely no cost to the user. They’ve already pledged $10,000 to ArtPark Community Hub. Now we just need your participation!

After you’ve downloaded the free app, all you have to do is:

  1. Visit bars and restaurants around RiNo Art District during August & September

  2. Snap a photo of your experience, tag @RiNoArtPark as the cause, and post to PocketChange

  3. Rinse & Repeat — each post, like, and reply is a free $1 donation to ArtPark Community Hub!

How will I know which spots to go to?

We’ve created a subway-inspired map of RiNo Art District and each week we’ll release a new line featuring participating businesses to inspire new, walkable routes around the Art District. We’ll also be popping up at certain bars and restaurants for free happy hours. That’s right — on select dates we’ll buy you a free drink when you show us your PocketChange post.

What’s in it for me?

Aside from helping to raise $10,000 FREE dollars for ArtPark Community Hub, we’re also giving away a massive grand prize for one lucky participant. After 15 posts, community members will be entered into a raffle at the end of September to win $1,000 in gift cards to RiNo businesses. We’ll also be giving out swag from the participating bars and restaurants each week — make sure you’re following along on social media!

Easy enough? Let’s do this!

About PocketChange

Website-Clip.2021-06-16-13_49_35.gif

PocketChange — a social media platform where every like, post and reply sends free money to charity at absolutely no cost to the user — was created by two University of Denver alums to change the narrative around social media. Founders Christian Dooley and Reyn Aubrey wanted to capitalize on the engagement they were seeing on platforms like Facebook, Instagram and Twitter and convert that engagement into value.

In its purest form, PocketChange is about voting with your dollars. You post a photo, choose the cause you want to support, and the dialogue evolves around it. The more people who engage with you, the more free money is donated to that cause. The PocketChange team created an innovative donation model where individuals, foundations, and brands donate funds and have their giving amplified. Instead of a one-time donation, people are now able to engage thousands of people on PocketChange to take action with them.
