Higgy, founded by Jess Clarke Higgins, is the next chapter in the evolution of her skincare clinic, Just Skin. As a brand ambassador for several renowned acne-safe skincare lines, Jess built a loyal following and earned a reputation as a trusted skin expert. It was time to take her brand to the next level. From naming and brand strategy to identity design and website development, we partnered with Jess to create a brand that perfectly embodies her passion for acne-safe skincare.

Challenge

Develop a brand that embodies the bubbly personality of Jess while also positioning itself as the expert in acne safe skincare. Create a strategy and identity that can evolve with the brand, from selling other brand's products, to having Higgy's own product-line. Develop a website that serves as a skincare shop, resource, and clinic all in one.

Solution

Disrupt the skin industry by being the brand that holds no secrets and carries an "open book" mentality in the same way Jess does. Balance natural colors with bold pops that exemplify Jess's personality and a tone of voice that reflects her approachable, yet well-informed, tone of voice. Use photography that feels authentic to the struggles of the skincare experience, with no photoshopping of skin flaws.

We centered the Higgy brand strategy around Jess's primary passion: helping people to find a routine they can trust, and feel good in just their skin.
